John Trumbull did an oil painting of the "Battle of Bunker Hill," featuring the dying Major General Joseph Warren of Massachusetts. The original oil is at the Yale University Art Gallery. Other citizens included in the painting were Major Andrew McClary, of N.H. who is standing behind Captain Thomas Knowlton, of Connecticut.
A very good copy (in color) also appears on the cover of the "American Heritage," magazine, August 1962. I also have an engraving printed in 1861, of the painting. The likeness of McClary's face is very good.
Hope this has been helpful.
