Hugh McClary (circa 1740-1801) Augusta Co., VA

One of the children (collateral line) of my Robert Allen, Sr., of Augusta Co., VA (circa 1715-1790) was Mary Allen born about 1745. She is believed to have married Hugh McClary, Sr., of Augusta Co., VA. Hugh McClary died in Augusta Co., VA in 1801. His known children were Robert, Samuel and Hugh McClary. His land holdings in Augusta Co., VA were:

1. On March 19, 1782 William Foster of Augusta Co., VA deeded 143 acres to Hugh McAlary (land Foster acquired by deed from James Kennerly) adjacent to John Patrick, Pointdexter, Thomas Turk to the Shannondoah River. Recorded on May Court 1782. Delivered to H. McAlary in September 1786.

2. On October 25, 1786 David Henderson, Sr., of Augusta Co., VA, deeded 200 acres to Hugh McCleary of Augusta Co., VA located on the South River of Shannandoe adjacent to river side, George Hutchenson, John Bratton, Widow Inman. Recorded January 16, 1787. Witnesses were Patrick Buchanan (Executor to the Will of Robert Allen, Sr.), Mounticue Allen (son of Robert Allen, Sr.) and George Hutchenson.

I figure that Hugh McClary, Sr., was born about 1740.

I have found abstracts of the Wills of Alexander (1751) and John (1773) in Augusta Co., VA. I have found a James McClary who gave his deposition in 1798 in Fayette Co., KY that says he settled in Augusta Co., VA in the spring of 1742. Does anybody have any idea where and when James McClary, brother of Alexander and John McClary, died and whether he had a Will mentioning his heirs?

Can anybody place Hugh McClary (circa 1740-1801) with his parents in Augusta Co., VA, or elsewhere?
