Hi Nancy, nice to hear from you. Oral family history describes Cynthia as a "half breed" and her family (Marrs) had moved to Grundy County, MO from Tazewell, VA. I have had only limited contact with the Marrs family, although I did visit Tazewell. I have additional info about this I can provide to you.

Several years ago I had contact with one of your Stone cousins, Grace Hill, from Arkansas. She is from the William Edward line; I assume you are from Leonard Morgan's line. I personally knew members of the Leonard Morgan line, the Burks and Purdy families here in Boonville, and my father was acquainted with additional Stone descendants.

I have not been to Ireland, and the purpose of our trip is social rather than genealogical, but I thought it would be interesting to know someone with general knowledge of the family there.

I am not an experienced researcher and have not done anything to speak of for about 25 years, until recently. Contact me directly at or call 660.882.6505 and I will provide you additional information.
