Hello, again,
There were six lines of descent from the original immigrant James McClatchey and his wife Jane. One was through the eldest son Robert, which I briefly described in a prior message on the McClatchy forum. Two of the remaining lines are through other sons and carry the name McClatchey, that of James "Jemmie" and that of Charles. The remaining lines are through daughters, that of Mary (Killen), that of Nancy (Elder) and that of Charles' twin Elizabeth (Donaldson).
Heziah Jane "Jennie" McClatchey is a descendent through James or "Jemmie's" line. Heziah is Jemmie's great granddaughter. She was born in Middlesex, now Cowansville, in Armstrong Cty, PA on 27 Mar 1861 and died in Kewanee, IL, on 23 Dec. 1957. I have a photo of her, but it is not a very good one, and would very much like to obtain a copy of the one you have. In return, I will send a group photo of the entire family of her parents.
A fairly complete family tree for Jemmie's line can be found on line, assembled by Larry Cheesebro. To my knowledge, the descendants of Robert in McLean Cty and those of Jemmie in Knox Cty all lived in Illinois without being aware of each other, as the family history from Jemmie's line said of Robert that he had children, but nothing is known of him. Robert's widow and children remained in Derry, Westmoreland Cty, PA, while the father James and the brothers Charles and Jemmie along with the Elders moved on to Armstrong Cty, PA.
