Fergus
Thank you for your information. Do you know what area your McCleave's are from? I understand mine are from Ballylesson. I was wrong in my initial research about my ggrandmother. She was on the Ferris side not the Murphy side. I am still trying to find out her first name. She married Daniel Ferris my ggrandfather and lived around the Springfield area. I do know they are both buried in Ballylesson cemetery along with Alex Murphy who is a ggreat Uncle of mine. Ballylesson cemetery does not have records of Daniel and Alex but this is not unusual they tell me as they only recorded the members of the parish at that time. Daniel and Alex were also Catholic so I think that might have been a reason also. I am desperately trying to find the first name of my ggrandmother and then perhaps I can piece it together. Do you know if James had a sister, or do you know where James lived? Is it possible for you to scan his picture to me?
Thank you very much for your information. Please keep in touch if you can help with more or I can help you.
Bernadette
