My G. Grandfather was Thomas McCleave. His parents were John McCleave and Catherine Jones. John and your ancestor William were brothers. I have very little information on Willaim Mccleave and his wife Elizabeth Frances Richardson. I have been told that Williams occupation was Traveler that he died from cholera Elizabeth and children went into the workhouse where Elizabeth dies from gangrene. Children David, John, William and Thomas. No info on David. John occupation Gilder. Willaim b 1839 Occupation Shoemaker marries Sarah Jane Gregory 8 may 1871 Bethnal Green. I got all this information from Jenny Mansfield who is also desended from Thomas McCleave if you wish more info. it is best to contact her directly. Good luck with your search I hope I have been of some help.
