Hi, Jean
Yes I have indeed progressed since 2002 but not with the McClennens prior to Sam. I have found quite a bit about the children of Sam and Sydney(who was a Mendenhall). Thinking that there may be a 'Canada' connection was and remains only a suggestion since I have not been able find anything of substance concerning Samuel Burnham McClennen in Pennsylvania prior to the 1850 census and what was already established by Mendenhall researchers. I have communicated with someone who is descended from one of Sydney's sisters and I have found several articles concerning the McClennens on a newspaper website.
I will be happy to share whatever information that I have on this GGGGrandfather if you are interested.
