I am searching for my great grandmother. What makes this almost impossible is I don't know her given name.
Here is the only infomation I do have. I am quoting information written by Margrett E (Sisson)Robinson.
"Franklin Sisson from W Virginia died in Morrelton AR in 1911.He married I believe in Cleburn County near Heber Springs, ?? Mclennen.they had a son, Nathaniel Bartlett Sisson born Sep 16, 1868 near Heber Springs, CA. My grandfather Franklin Sisson left my grandmother before Nathaniel was born, so my father Nathaniel did not care to find his father. Though I was told he was the legal heir to millions.
Nathaniel B. Sisson died of pneumonia Aug 11, 1903. He was a Justice of the Peace in White County, AR. Nathaniel had 5 children.
I was 31/2 years old when my father died. When I was 11 years old an old family friend of ours from Pangburn AR worked in Morrilton, and met my grandfather. He told the friend "that must be my long lost son". Later that year I wrote to the Post Office trying to locate him. He had died. A son wrote me. I can't remember his name."
I know this is a long note, but I'm hoping someone reading this has been told an old family story about an aunt who was deserted by her husband. I haven't got another clue.
Elizabeth (Sisson) McGhee
