Hi Lori --
Rachael's sister Rebecca F. McClister was my great-greatgrandmother.Rebecca, as you may know, was the first wife of James Gaines Yates.
Her sister, Rachael A. McClister, was born Dec. 9, 1817, in Jefferson County, TN, (I believe). She died on Nov. 18, 1886, in Lewis County, Missouri. The person who may be the best authority is Crystal Dingler, a great-great-greatgranddaughter.I have Rachael as being married on Oct. 20, 1841 in Adair Co., KY.I have two names listed:Simeon Waggener and Simeon Green.I believe that Crystal has Simeon G. Waggener as her husband. The last email address that I have for Crystal [email protected].
I'm going to quote from an email that she sent to me sometime ago...and hope that she will not mind...."I descend from Rachael McClister(December 09, 1817 - November 18, 1886), who married Simeon Green Waggener in Adair Co October 20, 1841. Simeon was a widower with 10 living children and they went on to have 10 more. They moved to Lewis Co., MO, about 1851 where they purchased a farm and lived out the remainder of their lives. I have photos of their graves, but sadly have not found photos of them. My great grandmother was Nancy Francis Edna Ellen Waggener (September 06, 1852 - August 22, 1934 Caldwell, Canyon Co., ID)."You are welcome to email me direct.-- Peg
