There is a Glasgow/Ayrshire connection, but not so far as I know with these two. Samuel emigrated to the US, possibly to Albany, NY, where he died. Patrick stayed in the Leeke townland, where he married Margaret Kelly and had either 11 or 13 children. I have no information on them.

The Glasgow connection comes in with John McCloskey's oldest son James, who married Winifred ("Unity") Campbell. Two sons, John and Michael, moved to Ayr. John may have run a grocery/liquor shop at 52 High St. One or two daughters moved to Glasgow, including Catherine who married James Murray.

John Sr.'s son Bernard moved to Linwood just outside Paisley in the 1880s, and died there in 1889. There was much visiting between the Leeke McCloskey cousins who emigrated to the US (i.e., John Sr's grandchildren)and those who went to Scotland.

Hope this helps.
