Looking for ggg grandparents in Ireland
Last name spelled McCloskey, McClusky, etc. on various family documents. Sisters born approx 1840 in either Derry or Fermanagh - Immigrated to NY during the Civil War. Margaret married Patrick McManus (most likely in NYC), also an Irish immigrant. Don't know where in Ireland he was from. Their children: Mary Ann Kierney (buried in NY), Hugh (died in infancy), Rose (died in infancy), Maggie (never married, died when she was 30 yrs), Katie (died young of appendicitis) Sarah & James (twins, b. 1873 in Pennsylvania). Margaret (McCluskey) and Patrick McManus left NYC and went to Pennsylvania and then to Greeley County Nebraska. She was over 90 when she died in the 1930s. Newpaper (no date on clipping)says her brothers and sisters (except Anna) had died in Ireland.
Margaret's sister Anna McCluskey (never married) lived in NYC until she was quite old, then moved to Geeley to be with her sister. When Anna died in 1933 she was over 90.
