Hi all,
I need help. According to family lore, Patrick McCloskey(born in co. Monaghen Ire. in 1848-49)travelled from New York to Philadelphia, where he died, possibly murdered in 1874. His obituary is in the Brooklyn Eagle 3/8/1874 and he is buried in New York. His widow Mary and son James are found in the 1880 NY census. But there are a lot of Mccloskeys in Philadelphia, so it's possible he travelled there. Can anyone fill in the blanks or give me a lead?
John Driscoll
