Hi,
my wife is a McCloskey and we have McDevitt in our family. Mary Kernan married George McDevitt in 1829 then she married Peter McCloskey (born 1811). Other McDevitt's are George, Mary, Ellen, Charles & Francis. Our McCloskey family lived in S. Dakota and Minn. Happy to exchange info. Let me know if there is a connection.
