Jane Lawler (nee McCloskey) is buried with the Lawler's in St Mary's. I have visited the cemetery and her tombstone is there with her husband James and some family members.

What I have surmised up to this point is that Patrick McCloskey, father of the Cardinal, was the eldest son and immigrated first. Although I don't have all the siblings, I believe that he had at least four brothers: John B 1787, "Honest" George B 11778 who never left Ireland, and Michael B 1785 who settled in Pittsburgh. He married Roseanna Monaghan at St Patricks in Pittsburgh in 1820.

My ggrandmother, Jane, lived next to Michael and his family with whom I assume to be here mother Jane widow of John. I assume that John and Jane were married in Ireland since the younger Jane's obit said that she came to AMerica as a young girl. She is only 15 in the 1850 US census so my guess is that she had only been here for a few years.

The problem is I can't prove all of this. Do you have any records that connect all these family members?
