I live in Harpers Ferry but visit Pittsburgh at least twice a month if it's good weather. Emmitsburg MD is about 35 miles from Harpers Ferry.

I have been trying to piece this together and some the Cardinal might be connected to or related to Pope Pius IX. At least that is what I think and some spotty records point in that direction. It was Pope Pius IX that made him a Cardinal.

I have a copy of his original school attendance record at Mount St Mary's.

I do have a lot of records on the Cardinal but first you must believe that Pope Pius IX made him a Cardinal. May people who are not Catholic including Historians, don't believe that.
