John, born China, 1921 (?), s/o Harry
St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Feb. 5, 1925, Local Happenings. Mrs. Henry McCluskey went to Chicago a few days ago to meet her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Harry McCluskey and little son John, on their way to Berlin, Wis., where Mrs. Carter, mother of Mrs. McCluskey, was lying very ill. This is the first time Mrs. McCluskey here has seen her young grandson, aged four years. He is a "Shanghai Chinaman" by birth, his parents having been there for some time. He got his grandmother's O.K. when she found he could read, and was an "up and coming" young man, despite his foreign birth or perhaps because of it.
