Hello Leigh...My dad was born 1886, Glenock parish, Newton stewart area around Strabane, and I was born in Donegal.
Last year I came on a great book entitled "Gallon", which is a history of three townlands in Tyrone, including Glenock,Lisnafin, Tullyherin, and a few more. This book is fantastic history...it tells stories about the local people..author: William John Bradley
It contains several "Mary McColgan's", but the earliest I can find is dob 1850 The book is published by

Guildhall Press, Co. Derry Try emailing them if you wish to order a copy (8.95 Irish) - info@ghpress.com

good luck, Jerry, Montrose, Pa, USA
