Dear Mark, I doubt the information I have is related to your info. I have found it most difficult to get exact info from this time period as many of the names were used over and over and records are spotty. I have a John McColgan born about 1830 at Kilderry, Innishowen, Donegal. This person would be the brother to my grandmother's father, James McColgan. Their parents are James McColgan and Sarah Doherty. Since the date and the location seem to be close, if you are interested in additional info I have, please let me know. Also, if you know anything about this branch of the McColgin family, I would be interested.
Sandy
