I find a Thomas McColgan on the Lancaster, PA census for 1810 and 1820. Is he the one? And, where did he and Sarah get married? PA would fit with the 1850 Census for 1850 that indicates that Jesse Allen Moore, Jr born 1841, his father was born in NC and his mother in PA.

I have never seen a document in Hamilton County with the McColgin name on it. Where did Sarah and Thomas live when he died and where did Sarah get her 2d husband??? The answer to that question will likely tell me where the Moores came from - as Jesse Allen Moore, Sr is purported to have married the sister of William Vaughn second and Sarah as his 3d wife.
