The Moore's lived fora time just west of Thackerary and a little North. A New Hope Cemetery came from the Moore farm which is now the Miller Farm. James M. Moore, son of Jesse Allen Moore and his first wife is buried there. The Christian Church is about 1 miles north and a quarter mile east of New Hope; the Christian Church is also about one mile due south of Blairsville. Jesse Allen Moore, Jr's first wife, Sarah Jerusha [Jones] Moore is buried there. We have found no marker there for her or any other of the Moore family. I believe that Jesse Allen Moore, Sr also lived near Springerton a few miles east of Blairsville and over the County Line in White County. Some Moore's are buried there. When we got involved in Genealogy in 1979 there was no one left to ask questions of, and we have spent several days searching the cemeteries in that area. My grandfather, Jesse Allen Moore, Jr is buried just east of Opdyke in Jefferson County in what was once the IOOF Cemetery. He died in Belle Rive which is 4 miles west of Hamilton Co. I remember my Dad going to a Moore Reunion once back in the 30's and he came home with a couple of pictures that we have no idea who they are. He corresponded with a Walter Moore of Michigan who was a son of James M. Moore, a Civil War Vet who was buried at New Hope Cemetery mentioned above. Do no confuse this cemetery with another New Hope Church East of Blairsville [where the congregation later moved to]. I do have a picture of Jesse Allen Moore Sr and Jr. Jesse Allen Moore, Sr was in the Blackhawk War, however, we have not traced his records as yet. Wish I had more concrete data to provide you. Charley
