Hello, Sorry to have taken so long in replying.

I decend from a line of McColls that may have originally settled in the Cramache?/Perterborough area of Ontario. At least two brothers (Hugh & Alexander) and their mother had come to Canada after the death of the father (he was believed to be a Jacobite supporter, and the family beleived he was killed because of this). I do not know how many other siblings or family members came with them as I have not found any records past 1823. The brothers Hugh & Alexander moved to Asphodel Township, in Peterborough County. Alexander moved on. Their mother was Elizabeth and their father's name was Hugh.

Please look at my other postings and see if your McColls may be linked to mine. If you think they might be feel free to email me at: loftylady@hotmail.com.

Thank-you,
Ula
