Hi, this is my first post here.

I've got some McColls from Lismore among my ancestors.

Janet McColl, b 1796 in Bridge of Weir, was the daughter of Solomon McColl, b 1768 on Lismore. Solomon was the son of
Dugald McColl, also of Lismore.

Janet McColl married James Ure of Greenock, and they emmigrated to America with their family in 1849. They ended up in Utah, as some of the very first members of the Mormon church there.

James and Janet McColl Ure were my ggg grandparents.

I'd very much like to find out about McColls that are still on Lismore.

Does this branch of the family fill in any of your gaps?

Debby
