I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble with my e-mail address. It would be a lot easier if I could just send my entire file. Why don't you try this e-mail address

I have the pension application and will transcribed and entered into my database.

Robert McCombs married Margaret Wishart ca 1770 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Joseph Wishert.

We don't know who Robert's parents were. Robert's grandson's, William and Robert, applied for a Revolutionary War Pension and it gives a lot of information about him but it doesn't explain who his parents were. Margaret also left a will in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri that names their children.

Robert and Margaret McCombs had the following children: John, Joseph, William, James, Robert, Rosannah and Jane.

John married Mary Abernathy and they moved to Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. This is your line.

Joseph probably died young. In 1826 his mother doesn't know if he is alive or not.

William married Elizabeth Harrison and he stayed in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

James married Betsey Lewis in Knox County, Tennessee.

Robert married a Thompson in Rutherford County, Tennessee. He died around 1826 and his wife had already died and his son Robert went to Cape Girardeau County, Missour and married Mary Wallace. This is my line. Robert and Mary then move to Hunt County, Texas.

Rosannah married J. P. Brown and went to Alabama we think. In the pension application it mentions that Margaret lived with her cousin, John Brown in Alabama before moving in with her son, Robert in Rutherford County, Tennessee.

I hope the different e-mail address works. Let me know if I can send you a ged-com file or if you need me to send the information as documents.
