This is not an exact match but the names from your post match a couple of my direct ancestors, so I think it's worth mentioning what I have:
George McCombs was born about 1804 in Pennsylvania and he married a woman about the same age named Lydia born in Delaware; in 1850 they were living in Neshannock Twp., Lawrence County, PA but in the 1860 and 1870 census George lived in Cecil Twp., Washington County, PA.
One of their sons was William McCombs, born about Feb. 1845 and who lived in Allegheny County until at least 1905.
I would be very interested in knowing what that Lydia's family name was.
