Looking for info and cousins from these people:
James Nicholson (b. abt 1830-abt 1884 in Armagh, IRE)
Rose McConville (b abt?-abt 1884 in Armagh, IRE)
they had many sons and one daughter:
Joseph Nicholson (b. June 1865)+ Catherine Moore
(Married in Boston, MA)
Mary Ann Nicholson (b. June 1866) + Joseph A. Carberry
(Married in June of 1884 in Lurgan Roman Catholic Church, Shankill Parish, County Armagh, IRE)
Thomas Nicholson (b. 1862) + Alice Corrigan
(Married in Ontario, Canada)
John Nicholson
Family story from Mary's line says:
She had Many brothers; their parents died young (by 1883 or 1884) and Mary was the only daughter; the Parish Priest did not feel it right that she was the only single woman (despite being a sister) in a house full of men; apparently she ended up waiting on many of her brothers, so the priest arraigned her marriage to husband Joseph A. Carberry; they emmigrated to Essex County, MA that same year.
We were told we are related to the Nicholson's of Canada (did find her brother Thomas married in Ontario).
My Great Aunt Rosemary (Higgins)Riggo remembers two great uncles who lived on Patterson Street right near her Carberry Grandparents on Brookvale Street in Dorchester, MA in the 1930's. (Joseph Nicholson & family were living there at the time).
looking for any other brothers of Mary's and looking to connect with cousins :)
