Mary Ann McCready Co. Donegal 1875ish
Posted by: Peter Scott (ID *****1318) Date: February 02, 2004 at 00:27:21

G'day from Australia.

We are visiting Co. Donegal in September 2004 and would love to link up with our Irish cousins the McCreadys.

Peter Scott's Grandfather Lewis Henry Scott born c. 1875 was the son of William Hamilton Scott and Mary Ann McCready of County Donegal, possibly born c. 1850.

Frank Scott (left Donegal at the time of the Partitian aged 13) remembered the McCreadys as "professional people".

All of our Scott relatives left Ireland for England, America or Australia. The Australian Scotts are all good drinkers and musicians.

This is a first try at trying to establish some contact.
Any help or advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Peter Scott
