I know very little about the McCready family--Susan McCready, my GG-grandmother. My grandmother's sister related some information about the Townsend's relationship to the McCready family in before she passed in 1994, but I have not been able to document any part of it. I did tape the conversation and still have it. She said that, "Susan McCready was stolen out of her house in Crisfield by her brother as a young girl and taken to Baltimore to seek refuge from her father who was said to be mean. ... thinks that the McCready Hospital is named after Susan's brother. Susan McCready's brother; his daughter, Susan (think named after Susan McCready); and the girl's nanny were all killed at a train crossing near Crisfield. Susan McCready after arriving in Baltimore, stayed there, met and married James Townsend." If you have any information on this McCready family, I would be most appreciative.
