William B. McCr(e)dy was born in either Vermont or New York according to the census data. His father is said to have been born in Scotland and his mother is said to have been born in New York.

There are McCready's identified in Herkemer County New York witch is not that far from Vermont. (Deep Sigh!)

George William McCrady married Jennie Orange Phillips. 6 Children made it to adulthood.

George Brown McCrady married Annie (Anna) Hilgert.
Annie was the oldest of 4 children. Her father Freiderich was the immigrant from the Rhineland Palantate with his three brothers. Freidrich Hilgert was married to Rosina Roesch. Both are buried in Pierce, Pierce, Nebraska although Rosina is buried in the Kohler Cemetery not in the Prospect View. Helen (or Helena) was Freiderich's 2nd wife.

Frederick McCrady son of George B. McCrady and most of his family moved to Colorado. He married Edna V. Smith.

Annie was to be married to a fellow German Immigrant but refused him and married George B. McCrady.

George B. McCrady owned a Livery in Pierce, Pierce, Nebraska.

George B. and a younger brother, were involved in a lawsuit that went back to when the lived in Illinois.

George and Annie were married in Iroquis County Illinois.

Frederich paid someone to take his place during the civil war. (Still following up on that one!)

Geore B. was the second son to William B. McCr(e)ady and Betsy Elizabeth Ruckman. Their older son Thomas is the Grandfather to Sammalee (spelling) (You may find things she has posted on other sights.

Rachel McCready is buried in McCune Cemetery in Illinois as is Thomas Ruckman, Betsy's father. Rachel's Tombstone says she died on the 31st of February.

Thomas Ruckman was married to Christina Straw.

Christina Straw's father was John Straw (Johannes Stroh)

There are several Phillips, Patricks and McCradys that lived in the Northeast Corner of Wyoming around 1910.

Jennie Orange Phillips' Mother Harriet Ann Miller Phillips Patrich is buried in Upton, Wyoming.

Many of George William and Jennie Orange's children were born in Thornton, Weston, Wyoming a town that no longer exists.

Hope this helps a bit.

If anyone can tie into any of this information please let join in on the conversation!
