Check 1830 Census for Monroe County.

McCroskeys that I know lived in Rock Springs which is about 10 miles from Sweetwater.

My beloved is Wm Henry McCroskey III. His father and grandfather were all born in Monroe Co. and the old family manse is still standing as far as we know (10 yrs ago) and the old family graveyard is next to the house.
WHMc III's GGrandfather is Thomas Edmund Hooke McCroskey. Either his GGrandfather's or the generation above was Co. Sherrif and had a brother who was a Judge. Some aunt in the family has a complete genealogy. If I can get it, I'll send it to ya.
