Does anyone have ship information on James?
Did he marry Martha after his arrival? Other family members on the boat? Who are Martha's parents? Aren't I just full of questions?
To the person looking for John's descendents:
The IGI at LDS has a tape on the Upper West Conococheague Presbyterian Church in Mercersburg. It was online, but they pulled it. I found two marriage for John.
1st to Mary McKinndy 8 Nov 1774. Mary died 15 Sept 1786.
2nd to Elizabeth Cunningham on 4 Mary 1788.
I only have one child, son of Mary. James b 13 Dec 1783, married Margaret whie in 1808. One known child Alexander White McCullough b 19 Feb 1810 in Upton, Franklin Co. PA/
This is the first I've heard of a diary, how wonderful!
I heard one story that James, who was captured with John, was sold to a Frenchman.
There are an awful lot of James McCullough's in Louisiana, coincidence?
