I was pleasantly surprised to find your posting on the McCullough GenForum site.
My Wife, Janice McCullough Tower's, 3rd Great-Grandfather was Charles Lawrence (or maybe Luther) McCullough. What I am about to write is the information handed down through the family, but no one has obtained confirming documents, such as birth records, etc.
Charles was supposedly born July 5, 1803 in Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia. His parents were supposedly John McCullough, born 1755 in Scotland and his wife, Anne Praxede Saulnier. John and Anne were supposedly married in 1783 in Digby, Nova Scotia.
The earliest confirmed knowledge we have of Charles' location is that he married a Hannah Palliser at Caldwell Manor, Clarenceville, Quebec,on October 5, 1829. Their first know child is Jane McCullough, born July 4, 1831 in Hemmingford, Quebec, BUT Jane is baptized at the Odelltown Methodist Church on March 10, 1832. Subsequently two other children are born, Hannah dies in 1838, Charles remarries in 1838/1839 and they have 9 children and all these events are recorded in the Odelltown Methodist Church records.
So given the dates, the Nova Scotia & Odelltown coincidences, I am wondering if our Charles might be a brother of your Euphrosine "Fanny".
We have a lot more information which I am willing to share if you think that it is possible that there is a connection.
