When my McDivitts came to the U.S. they first settled as farmers in western Ohio (Preble County ). There were already some McDivitts living in this area as early as 1850. It seems logical that they would have been related. The head of the household of that group of McDivitts was a Philip McDivitt. He is belived to have been born in Maryland and married a woman by the name of Elizabeth Booker from Rowan, North Carolina. Do you know anything about these folks?
