McDevitt, Jeremiah F. "Jerry" age 76. Born August 27, 1930 to the late John and Grace (nee Doyle) McDevitt, a long time Chicago resident until moving to Channahon eleven years ago. Retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. He was a former Vice President of CWA Local #5050. Jerry was an active alumni member of St. Patrick (West Side) High School. Loving husband of 52 years to Joan I. (nee Burke); beloved father of Fr. Patrick J. McDevitt, C.M. and Teresa G. "Tracy" (Robert) Follis; proud grandfather of Edward J., Margaret Mae, Mary Kate and Patrick M. Follis; dear brother of the late William V. (Lois) McDevitt; fond uncle of several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 27, 2006, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 28, 2006 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1010 W. Webster (at Sheffield) where a visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
