My husband is also descended from Hance Corsbie and Ann McDill. I want to email you but your email address is not valid anymore. Please email me.

My husband, Johnny's, great grandmother's name was Rhoda Ellen Russell who married Washington Jackson Causbie, son of Isaiah Corsbie. Isaiah's name was changed by the census taker, I presume, in 1850, to Josiah Cosby. That's why we had such a hard time finding his ancestors. Josiah's sons changed their names to Causbie, unknown reason. Rhoda Ellen's sister was Martha Russell who married her husband's brother, Samuel Monroe Causbie. Talk about small world.
