Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
My source of information is the book "McDills in America". I could not follow your family in it. There is John McDill, Sr., married to Jane Bell. Their son Thomas (b. 1784), md. Mary Chalmers. Their son John, b. 1814 in SC, was in the 1850 census as a carpenter, aged 36 and single), living in Sparta, Il in Randolph Co. In the book it says that he never married. Nancy, b. in 1841, would be the right age to be a daughter of John's generation. I do not find her or Matthew Campbell in the book. Do you have more information about John and his marriage? The Browns intermarried with the McDills a number of times but I do not find an Elizabeth Jane Brown in this connection.
