I am looking for info on Alice McDill, born about 1871 in St. Clair Co AL and daughter of General Taylor McDill and, I think, his first wife Adelia Ann Nichols.

From the census and other sources I think this family may have been in the Grayson Co TX area or across the Red River in the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory in what later became Bryan Co and Marshall Co OK, in the 1890 period.

Alice McDill may be the second wife of Jesse Cowan, who was also from St. Clair Co AL. My only documentation is the Social Security application of one of their daughters, listing Alice McDill as her mother's maiden name, and Sherman TX as the daughter's place of birth.

In the 1900 census Jesse Cowan was in the Chickasaw Nation listed as a widower, and had two daughters, Leona E. Cowan born Dec 1892 and Viola Cowan born Dec 1893, that must be from his second marriage.

I can supply specific info from the census and cemeteries etc that support their locations and my theories.

Jesse Cowan's first wife Georgia Ann Perrin died in St. Clair AL in 1881. I am not sure when he came to TX or OK, or if may have married Alice McDill back in AL or after the families left Alabama.

Does anyone know anything more about Alice McDill?

I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me! I have looked for Jesse Cowan's second wife for three years.
