Hi there.

I have McDill ancestor, Margaret "Peggy" McDill Peden, whose family immigrated to S.C. (Greenville Co.), in the late 1700's. I know from Peden family history that some of the McDill families came with the Pedens (they were all leaving Northern Ireland due to some religious or political reason). In fact, she died in 1788, and was buried in the McDill family plot at the Catholic church in Chester, S.C. I have a book on the Pedens that mentions a Thomas McDill (Peggy's brother) who definitely made the voyage. I don't know if any of this helps, but it may help you narrow down some locations.
