I also have a Daniel in the Carolinas, same period of time. I know that some of the family (my ancestors) migrated into several states together with the Dean and Gilmore families. I have them together in GA, MS and AL. If anyone can help attach my ancestors to one of those NC Daniel McDougalds, I would really appreciate it! A lot of my ancestors ended up in Ashley County Arkansas. I am a descendant of Archibald McDougald and Sarah Gilmore. Archibald was a son of Daniel.
Thanks!
Jana
