Daniel McDougald and children GA / NC

I am looking for any information on Daniel McDougald born probably between 1770-1780 in GA or NC or possibly SC. He was most likely married to Sarah <unknown> Their children were John, Miles E., Daniel, Alexander, Betsy, Sarah and Nancy. 4 of the children won land in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery and were entered as "Daniel McDougald's Orphans." So we know he died before 1827. Family records say that Daniel fought in the War of 1812 and they also state that Daniel's father came to the US from Scotland and his mother was a "full blooded Turk."

Daniel's children were all in Habersham County, GA around 1827-1832, give or take a few years, then most were in Lumpkin County, GA after that. His son John married Sarah Gaddis. Miles E. McDougald married Mary Ann Walker. Daniel married <unknown> and had a son name Pinkney and may have gone to Tennessee. Alexander went to California. Betsy married John Wooten. Sarah married Hubbard Carnes and Nancy went to Tennessee.

Any information on any of these individuals would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
