I'd love to find any McElhenny connections that I can.Unfortunately, all I know of my Irish origins is that two brothers, John and George McElhenny (last name is spelled differently on every census), came over in the late 1840s or very early 1850s (not necessarily on the same boat) and settled in the Schuylkill County and Columbia County areas of Pennsylvania, particularly Minersville, Ashland, Big Mine Run and Centralia.George never married. They both appear to not have been Catholic, so they were likely Scotch Irish from Northern Ireland. If anyone knows of any possible connections, I would love any information that you can provide.
Thanks much,
John Earl McElhenny II
