Hi all! I have found out that my family may be descended from a Henry McFalls who came to the colonies in 1782. He was born in Ireland and had 3 brothers. Story has that Henry come over on a ship loaded with flax and it spent the winter frozen in New York harbor. Henry and another brother stayed in the U.S. while the other 2 returned to Ireland. Henry married a Margaret Seabrooke (daughter of William Seabrooke; she was born in Ireland) but I'm not sure whether Henry married here in the U.S. or not. Henry had several children, one of which was Henry Jr.

I stumbled across a Charles McFalls (descended from the Henry Jr. line) on hotmail who is from Lancaster, PA claims that if my family is from Lancaster than I am descended from the Henry McFalls line. Can anyone verify this and perhaps contribute?

In my own family, my grandfather, Ronald McFalls, and brothers, Richard and Gary (and perhaps another), moved from Lancaster to Maine several decades ago. Ronald's mother was a Kranch.

Thanks for looking!
