I found a copy of a 1860 Tennessee Census record that has:
Henry McFall, nearly 37, Mariah 39, Vesta 15, Sarah 13, Emiline 11, Nira 9, Eliza 7, John 2, Are these your family members?
I have some scanned copies from an old Bible that had belonged to Allen Hampton McFall, that dates to 1848. It list, very prominently on one of the first few pages, a John McFall, died in the year 1837, April 27. I have no idea who he is or how/why he fits in - no family records of him anywhere else, but can't help but wonder if he might be our Daniel's father? Who else could he have been, and why was his name listed in the bible? Do you have any idea who he might have been?
