I have been researching McFalls from Cherokee and Haywood County, N.C. for over a year and they are very had to track down. I am a McFalls descendent and have found a Rebecca L. McFalls on the 1860 Haywood County census. She is 3 years old and the daughter of William J. McFalls, age 31, and Margaret (Sanford), age 20, who were married August 29, 1858. There is also an Eliza A., age 8, and Emiline, age 5. This family had ties to Cherokee County, and is not listed on the 1870 Haywood County census so they may have moved back there. There are also other ties with the McClure's. If you think this is your Rebecca I can take you back a few more generations. And we would be distantly related as my line is through William J.'s sister, Eliza. Contact me at theri@home.com
