Birgit-Benjamin Franklin McFalls was the son of Andy McFalls
and Margaret Lanning. He and his brother David Harrison McFalls married first cousins-he married Jennie Wilson Allison July 4, 1920 in Old Fort,McDowell Cty, N.C. and
David married Georgia Hester Allison May 2, 1916 also in Old
Fort. They both relocated to the Hooper's Creek area of
Henderson County, N.C. in the very early 1920's. David and
his family eventually moved to other areas but many of Benjamin and Jennie's children stayed in Henderson County.
Also here was Margie (a sister of David and Benjamin)married
to Walter Ray.I have other siblings as Sally, Jack, Kittie L
(Lou?) and Jessie.Their mother, Margaret Lanning was the
daughter of Francis Govan Lanning who moved from Henderson
County to Yancey County. He was the son of William Lanning
and Elizabeth ??, son of Enos Lanning and Margaret Barnhill
(Barnwell), son of John Lanning (Rev War soldier) buried
in Cane Creek Cemetery, Buncombe Cty,N.C. along with wife
Sarah Whitaker. They came to the Fairview/Cane Creek area
of Buncombe from Rowan County before 1800. I hope my
sources are all accurate for the names but I know locations
for certain.
