Thanks Wayne
My info on the McFalls/Mckinney's came from my Aunt Norma (Bedwell) Tupper a few years ago. Aunt Norma did some work on the family when younger, but now that she is 84, she does not remember so well and has a hard time finding her notes on occasion. (I understand that, I have the same problems. ha ha). She also told me that Nancy Elizabeth (McFalls) Bedwell had told her that Matilda's mother was a Cherokee Indian and Alney's father was an Irishman.
I am going to have to check further, but from what I received, it appears that Myra Narcissa (Mitilda's oldest daughter) married James Pence in Alexander County, IL on Apr 6, 1865. If so, that means she proceeded Great Granpa Leroy and Nancy (McFalls) Bedwell to Southern Illinois by almost 2 years, and that following their marriage they came here to live near her. I am also told that following the death of Alney (about 1867) Mitilda and some of her children came here to Southern Illinois and lived with Myra and Nancy for a while before they moved on to West Plains, MO. (Floyd).
