Well Floyd,

Interestingly enough, my mother said that she thought we had a full blooded Cherokee Indian in our line.

She told me she thought Mathilda's mother was Nancy Triplett (found one married to a Charles McKinney .. who had 7 wives and 48 kids)

There is some feeling (unconfirmed) that Alney's father was an Arther (Auther,Arter) McFalls who had 3 "wives" , one of which was a full blooded Cherokee named Teek, I believe there are posts from that line in this forum (Brockmeier) .
Another of this Arthur's wives was a Emzey Hollifield ... a possibility of being Alney's mom.

My mother seemed to think that a Barbara Holywood was Alney's mom ... haven't found anything about her ... but Holywood and Hollifield are similar ??????

I have seen one other set of information that says his mom was Barbara Holywood and father was a Winfield McFalls. Found nothing there either. That info I think came from the daughter of a cousin of mine (he was killed in Korea) whose g-mother was my father's sister and the last of William Julius' children by Mary Coffman alive.

Alney is an elusive guy, many alias, states, .... any leads would be appreciated.

Wayne
