Just starting on the McFalls line. Have learned that my gggrandmother was Sarah Caroline McFalls b. about 1849 in Yancy Co., NC, daughter of Arthur McFalls and Hazy McHone.

I am reading so much wonderful information about the McFalls and wonder if this Arthur is the same Art'ur you have listed as dying at the battle of Shilo. I understand that Sarah's father "went off to fight for the Southern Cause and never came back."

Also, was there some connection to a Cherokee Indian thru this branch of the McFalls? I always heard there was some connection.

Sarah Caroline McFalls went on to marry John William Lowery. One of their sons, Henry Wesley Lowery was my ggrandfather.

I am very impressed with the amount of research that's been done on the McFalls and McHones. Would love to share what little I have. -Brenda
