Dear Edward:

That is great news. I see a John McFann in the family tree, born 1831, son of David McFann, born 1806, brother of Andrew Jackson McFann. Is this John McFann your relative? If so, he was born in Ohio, but must have gone back to Ireland, at least for a while, -- long enough to get married. That doesn't necessarily mean the McFann's came from Londonderry but it's a start. I'd be very interested to see if the Marriage Index gives other information. Thank you,
and I look forward to future posts on this.
