Ed, I just joined the Ulster Historical Foundation in the past hour, and searched about seven of their databases. And I did find a McFann!!! There was one McFann household registered in County Donegal, Civil Parish Taughboyne, in 1857. I don't have any other information. From here I have to contact that county. There were no McFanns in any other database. They have a new database under construction for Donegal residents in 1600-1700's. I'm going to watch for that.
