Hello, I have a snapshot of Andrew J. McFann's military headstone in Vernon Cemetery. The letters are quite worn and I am checking with a monument company to see whether or not the lettering can be recut. His wife Margaret is buried beside him but had no stone. We know because our Oak Hill cousins have visited the cemetery for years.

We cousins have purchased a headstone for Margaret. She and Andrew J. McFann are our Great Grandparents. Stones were also purchased for our Grandparents Stella Buffington McFann and Demetrius McFann; and Great Grandparents Rebecca Canter Buffington and Joseph Edward Buffington.

Thank you Brian, for your wonderful web site. All but two of our large group of cousins are now in touch.

Lois
